Three new and refreshed official mission sites will keep your head in the stars for hours.

Riding with Robots aims to provide a convenient one-stop resource for keeping up with the robotic space missions, but there’s nothing like going right to the source. Recently, three excellent official web sites underwent redesigns or opened up new categories of content. They’re all worth a gander. (See also this page, with a guide to some of the best free software packages for desktop astronauts.)

Check out the new site for Cassini’s extended mission to Saturn. While you’re there, be sure to try the ‘CASSIE’ interactive explorer:

The treasure trove of Mars landscapes keeps getting bigger (and ‘curiouser’) at the web site of HiRise, the high-res camera on board the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. Take a look at the new 3D section:

JAXA has set up a brand new YouTube site for videos of the moon and the Earth taken by Kaguya:
